Outdoor sculptures
- A statue of General An Yong-bok and his companions is on display outside the An Yong-bok Memorial Hall. The statue was inspired by how An Yong-bok and his comrades resisted the injustices of Japan fearlessly, and it is a symbol of An’s enterprising spirit. Furthermore, a model of the Panokseon Ship, which is said to have been deployed by An Yong-bok for his journey to Japan, is also available at the Dokdo Museum to give visitors a glimpse of just how hard the journey would have been at the time.
An Yong-bok Shrine
- To the right of the An Yong-bok Memorial Hall, there is a landscaped feature and a shrine built to commemorate the spirit of An Yong-bok, and to pass on his legacy to future generations. The General’s ancestral tablet is enshrined in a 28.08m² shrine.
